SHADE is a non-governmental organization established in July 1996 by a group of professionals headed by
Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan with an intention of providing quality work in the field of social and human resource development. It is committed to poverty alleviation and helping people to achieve the greatest degree of self reliance and social integration. SHADE aims to illustrate the powerful link between local and global changes. The team of SHADE consists of professionals with varying skills backgrounds. Our strengths rest in our experience in the fields of Advocacy, Research and Networking. SHADE desires to promote innovative methods of community mobilization and education based on participatory and gender sensitive approaches. SHADE endeavors to facilitate development of deprived communities, build awareness on human rights issues, reduce gender imbalances, help the poor and deprived, provide primary healthcare and facilitate in development of human resources and build organizational capacity.
